Evacuation Sony Style

Darwin, Chance, and Roxie enjoy their cozy quarters in Tom’s office

Here’s a few pictures from our overnight slumber party at the Sony office. We were well cared for and very grateful to all of the Sony crew for making the best of a difficult time for all of us. Unfortunately at least one of the Sony team families has lost their home, and we may hear of more in the next few days. But all are safe, at least. We had about 30 people in the office at one time or another, 9 dogs, 4 cats and 8 birds.

  1. See? I knew there would be pizza!

Our family is very glad you are all safe and home. Those California fires can be very scary.

  2. Thanks, bro!

Yup, there was indeed pizza. But when I talked to you Monday night we were having dinner ordered from Chili’s, and I had their Margherita Chicken. Very tasty.

    Pizza is traditional, though!

We’re glad to be home safe too. The fires are indeed scary.

I spent the day running around re-stocking our supplies and picking up supplies for the Humane Society. I stopped by the community center here to see if folks needed anything, and got some cat litter and boxes for those who had their cats with them and no more litter. They’ve been out of their homes now for four days from Ramona. It’s nice to finally be grounded enough to be doing things for other people again. The whole community has been pitching in to take care of each other.

Hopefully everyone can be home soon. Well, those who have a home to go to anyway. Sadly we’ve lost about 1600 homes at last count….

  3. No rain in sight, and probably not much this year with La Nina in full force.

We’re in for another drought year, I’m afraid.
