Well, all that talk of doing retriever rescues has come to fruition!
This is Sophie, my first ever retriever I’ve actually rescued! She was running around the street in my neighborhood today. A boy named Luke and I tried to find her owners, but there was no one home at the house Luke thought Sophie lived at. I’ve called the numbers on her tags, though, so hopefully her owner will show up for her soon.
Hopefully tonight we can post a pic of Sophie back with her owner!
UPDATE: Well, Sophie is rescued, but no pic. The owner came while I was out registering my son Gregory for school (pictured above with Sophie)…
But yay, I’ve done a rescue!!!

Congrats!! Dogs are awesome, and rescued dogs even more so – sometimes I think they understand that they’re given a second chance and will love you even more for it.
