Here’s the video I took yesterday of part of the lower 9th Ward in New Orleans. What is impotant to understand is the scale of NOLA destruction. You can go in any direction and see this. It’s in St. Bernard Parish, Gentily, Lakeview, New Orleans East. It goes on for miles and miles.
I have a post at the NOLA site and hope you’ll read why this should frighten every American.
Congress is here today. They’ll be touring the Lower 9th and Lakeview. I am hoping to find them and tag along at Lakeview which was an upper income area.
I also will have NOLA Cat Blogging at the site later. We hear Frist is here so we’ve hidden the kitties.
Wow. Watching this, you realize even after six months, the devastation of areas of New Orleans is still waiting to be cleaned up. So sad that nothing seems to be getting done for these people.

I watched your video and I am speechless. I think this needs to get out, I will put it on my blog and email it to everyone I know. This is America. People should not have to go through this. How much money are we spending in Iraq every day??? This administration needs to get their heads out of their ass before it is too late. Bush has time to travel the world, he should be in New Orleans to see first hand what a joke the government is. I am livid and I cannot believe this is happening. Thank you so much for doing this.
