It is good enough for now even though I am a supporter of single payer. Now we just need the Senate to get together and get it done but don’t hold your breath.
Personally, I don’t think it means anything significant. It’s just part and parcel of the usual dog and pony show. How often does one chamber pass a bill or resolution that we can be proud of only for the other to pass a weak facsimile and then, when they work out the supposed differences, what we end up with is tripe? Happens ALL the time.
Since I have no idea what the bill passed by the House says (is it indeed even available to the hoi polloi to read?), I don’t make much of this supposed milestone in the history of the human race.

I’m going to be one of those pushing HARD on the Senate.
Color me surprised and relieved. 🙂
The biggest battle is won. Now to win the war!
I think the Senate battle will be even more challenging and entertaining than the House…

You can read the entire bill or summary of it here:

Yes, it is available for the hoi polloi, or anyone else.
Pelosi has been very open about the entire process and very good about making sure all text of the bill is available to the public.
