1. Half? Assuming half of Americans are male and half female (not to an exactitude of course), that “statistic” assumes either that all females, regardless of age, use vibrators, or that some men use them (do they?).

   Never forget, there are lies, there are damned lies, and there are statistics (with apologies to whomever I just stole that from).

   It’s like when they say 2/3 of rapes go unreported. If a rape goes unreported, that means there is no way to add it to any set of statistics, and, with apologies to the victims, it thus did not happen.

   Or perhaps the “statistic” that, say, every 6 seconds someone in America contracts X disease. They never seem to say, when pronouncing such idiocies, that they mean that on average every so many seconds something happens.

   I believe almost nothing I read about statistics, there is an agenda behind all such reportage, and thus a lie, and thus I make nothing of it all.

   Sounds like vibrator makers and sellers are behind this one.
