When I got my degree in mechanical engineering long ago people used to say “So, you can fix my car?”
And I would say. ” I’m afraid you have me confused with a mechanic.”
“Really, howso?”
“Mechanics repair cars. Mechanical Engineers design them to be impossible to repair.”
And then, to drive home the point.
“If you can’t fix it with a hammer, it’s probably not worth fixing.”
